As of October 7, Admiral Naveed Ashraf officially assumed the role of Pakistan Navy Chief, succeeding Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi. Initiating his naval adventure in 1989, Admiral Ashraf took his first steps in the Operations Branch. He boasts an impressive academic background, with accolades from the National Defense University in Islamabad, the US Naval War College, and the renowned UK’s Royal College of Defense Studies. Throughout his career, he has taken on important roles and responsibilities, and his commitment has earned him prestigious awards like the Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) and the Tamgha-i-Basalat.
