PM Highlights the Importance of Natural Resources in Pakistan’s Development

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underlined the critical need to harness Pakistan’s untapped natural wealth, including its abundant mineral reserves. Speaking at the “Dust to Development” summit, the Prime Minister underscored the potential in sectors like agriculture, IT, and industry, calling for greater collaboration to explore these areas.

The Prime Minister addressed the nation’s struggles, regretting the lack of full utilization of Pakistan’s estimated $6 trillion in natural resources. He pointed to promising developments, including the conversion of Thar’s coal reserves for national growth.

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the issue of rampant corruption and exploitation of resources by certain cartels. He demanded a deeper introspection to overcome the delay in exploring natural resources due to political and financial roadblocks.

Acknowledging the challenges, the Prime Minister thanked Saudi Arabia for its financial aid, which facilitated Pakistan’s agreement with the International Monetary Fund.

As part of the current government’s vision, PM Shehbaz Sharif reiterated the commitment to build a strong nation, maintaining friendly relations with all countries for the mutual benefit of its citizens.

He expressed hope that by leveraging Pakistan’s vast natural resources, the nation could steer itself toward a prosperous future.
