Master Changan Motors Limited (MCML), not wanting to be outdone in the price hike marathon by its competitors, raised the prices of its automobiles by as much as Rs. 1.05 million.
Like its competitors, the company says the price hike is because the local currency is losing value quickly.
The following are the new prices that are being implemented immediately:
Models | Old Price (Rs.) | Revised Price (Rs.) | Increase (Rs.) |
Alsvin 1.3 Comfort Manual | 3,394,000 | 3,899,000 | 505,000 |
Alsvin 1.5 Comfort DCT | 3,649,000 | 4,199,000 | 550,000 |
Karvaan Plus | 2,569,000 | 2,899,000 | 330,000 |
Karvaan | 2,419,000 | 2,749,000 | 330,000 |
Alsvin 1.5 Lumiere DCT | 3,844,000 | 4,499,000 | 655,000 |
Oshan X7 Comfort | 7,049,000 | 7,999,000 | 950,000 |
With the Pakistani Rupee continually losing value, MCML has seen its largest price increase to date. However, it is worth noting that Changan’s offerings are among the class’s best-value automobiles.
Honda Atlas Cars Limited (HACL) has raised prices for the second time in as little as 15 days. Prices have gone up by as much as Rs. 550,000.
The latest statements from HACL and MCML suggest the wave of price increases is far from over.
