Huawei isn’t the only manufacturer to debut a phone with a peculiar camera design.

The company’s upcoming P60 Pro flagship smartphone is a possible continuation of this trend.

Images of the Huawei P60 Pro’s primary camera, which have been circulating on Twitter, look like an alien’s eye.

As can be seen in the image, Huawei has stuck with its standard practice of placing the camera in one of the phone’s corners, but the new design is quite intriguing.

The focal point of attention is the enormous lens in the centre, which, with its golden ring, evokes the appearance of a digital camera.

Due to their peculiar placement, the secondary cameras at the top and bottom make it look very strange.

The lower one looks like a periscope zoom lens, while the upper one is probably an ultrawide shooter.

On the side, a small device can be seen, which may be a macro camera. Moreover, two laser autofocus units can be seen.

The rumoured camera setup consists of a primary 50MP Sony IMX888 sensor, an ultrawide secondary 50MP IMX858 sensor, and a telephoto 64MP sensor based on the OmniVision OV64B.

Cameras made by Huawei’s in-house imaging brand, XMAGE, can be seen on the island’s outskirts.

There has been speculation that the curved display will be a 6.6-inch OLED panel with 1440p resolution and a variable refresh rate of 120Hz.

The 5,000 mAh battery can be charged via wire at 100W, or wirelessly at 50W. Water and dust resistance to the IP68 standard seems likely.

Huawei has not made any official announcements regarding a release date, so details are still scarce.
